Donating blood is a safe process and people should not hesitate to give or receive blood.   Right now, eligible and healthy donors are strongly urged to make an appointment to give soon.  You may make an appointment at any local drive, just log on redcrossblood.org to find a date and site near you.

Children's & Youth Summer Program Update

Due to the uncertainty of our national affairs with the COVID 19 health crisis, the Children's and Youth Programs for this summer have been postponed or cancelled.

Vacation Bible School (Rocky Railway has been postponed to 2021)

and the 2020 Mission Trip scheduled for Elkview, West Virginia has been cancelled.

Pray for health in the months to come.

Meal Train

Can the Deacons add you to our Meal Train contact list?  Folks on this list will receive notification by email each time someone in the church has a need for meals. You will be able to sign-up right away to take a homecooked or restaurant take-away meal to the family or individual in need. Being on the list does not obligate you to take a meal every time, it simply gives the Deacons a group to reach out to as needs emerge. Thank you for ministering to the congregation in this way! If you would like to be added to the list, please sign up at the Deacon's Corner on Sunday.

Everyone Eats

April 2020 Update:  We had been serving meals at Spirit of Hope church once a month, on the last Tuesday of the month.  Unfortunately, that church has now closed permanently, so the Everyone Eats program is looking for a new venue in which to serve.  Please pray for the return of this vital program and plan to serve with us!  News will be updated as soon as possible.

Northville Civic Concern

Civic Concern is currently serving 144 families and distributing donated food as possible.

Please make a stop and bring donations to the Civic Concern office as you are able. Opportunities to volunteer are listed below:

Food items that are currently in demand include: pasta/sauce; cereal in small boxes (15 oz. rather than a jumbo box) so more food can fit in the bag, peanut butter/jelly, soup, pasta sides (that can be added to chicken or other protein to expand the meal), crackers, pudding cups, jello cups and canned vegetables. People can deliver these food items to Civic Concern when the building is open, which is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Safety precautions are in place with physical distancing and no-touch drop-off. People donating items should wear a mask.

Monetary donations can be made by check and mailed to Northville Civic Concern, P.O. Box 323, Northville, MI 48167. Contributions can also be made by credit card via Paypal. See the website for details.

Due to the pandemic, the nonprofit has no funds for utility shutoff or evictions, and is not currently accepting donations of clothing or furniture.

To volunteer, please contact the center at 248.344.1033 or send an email to civicconcernnorthville@gmail.com.
