Save the Date!  Meeting of the Congregation Sunday, July 26, 2020
A Meeting of the Congregation of the First Presbyterian Church of Northville has been called by the Session for Sunday, July 26, 2020, immediately following the 9:30 AM worship.  So that as many members can participate, the meeting will be held in person in the sanctuary and virtually via ZOOM.  Full details will be provided well in advance of the meeting date.
The purpose of the meeting is to hear the report of the Pastor Nominating Committee who will present their candidate for the position of Pastor.  A congregational vote is required to elect the candidate as the next called pastor and approve the terms of call.  Another matter of business is the election of three at large members of the congregation to the serve on the church nominating committee.
To honor the confidentiality of the process, the identity and information about the candidate will be made available at a later date, but in advance of the meeting.  The candidate will preach here at FPCN at the 9:30 AM service prior to the meeting of the congregation.

Save another Date!  A Town Hall Meeting Sunday, July 19, 2020
In addition to the Meeting of the Congregation on the 26th, there will be a Town Hall Meeting on Sunday July 19th following the worship service, again in person and via ZOOM.  This meeting will provide a practice run in preparation for the following week’s meeting.  Details and instructions will be sent out in advance.

Three members at large needed to serve on the Church Nominating Committee
The by-laws of FPCN set a Church Nominating committee as follows: 1 elected by session, 1 elected by Deacons and 3 elected by the congregation.  This committee nominates members for the offices of Elder, Deacon, and Corporate Officers.  Please prayerfully consider serving on the committee; contact Clerk Adam Danes at 248.374.5568 for information.  Many thanks!
