Soon after buying an expensive cello, Daigo Kobayashi learns that his orchestra is disbanding. Daigo and his wife move back to his hometown in northern Japan, where he answers an ad for what he thinks is a travel agency but is, in actuality, a mortuary. Mission and Outreach

Serving at Crossroads
Several times a year, FPCN participates in the Sunday Meal at Crossroads of MI. We will be helping to provide a meal for up to 350 guests. Volunteer shifts are typically in the morning (8:15 – 11:00 am) or afternoon (10:30 am – 2 pm) to help prepare the meal and distribute it.
This effort is collaborative with other local churches in our Presbytery. Meet some other mission minded folks and help others in Detroit!

5 Cents a Meal
For every meal you and your family members enjoyed in the last month, please donate 5 cents to help with food insecurity needs in our community. The Mission Team uses these funds for various efforts throughout the year, including Gleaners, Crossroads, Northville Civic Concern, hospitality dinners for the homeless, and others! Please fill a brown "grocery bag" envelope each month and drop it in the offering plate, or donate anytime on-line on our "Donate and Serve" page.

Little Dresses for Africa
You can help in this mission by picking up a kit in Boll Hall, completing it and returning the dress to the church. The kit has all the supplies needed, full instructions and requires only basic sewing skills. Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit Christian organization whose mission is to provide relief by distributing dresses to little girls, primarily in African villages, but also to other countries in crisis.

The Bible is an App
The Lord is near, and so is His Word. As you wake up; while you wait; when you meet a friend; when you go to sleep. When the Bible is always with you, it becomes part of your daily life.
