¨ Please purchase gift cards in $25, $50, $75, & $100 denominations from Target, Meijer, Walmart, or gas cards. Be sure the denomination is marked on the card.

¨ Place the gift cards in the Christmas-wrapped box in Boll Hall marked "Northville Civic Concern" no later than Sunday, November 20.

¨ Cash and checks made out to the church can also be placed in the box and will be used to purchase gift cards.

Questions?  Contact Catherine Weir at 248-921-8090 or Jennie Macy at 248-521-8546.

Toy Collection

This holiday season the Mission Committee is holding a Toy Collection for children ages newborn to 18 years. We are collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED toys, books, board games, coloring books, small stuffed animals, art supplies, and gift cards. The items will be delivered to needy children in the area and children in hospitals during the holidays. Art supplies will go to an area school that is in need of them.

¨ Items can be placed in the gift box marked "Toy Collection" near the Mission Table in Boll Hall OR purchased and delivered through the Amazon Wish List "First Pres Toy Drive".

¨ Gift cards, cash, and checks made out to the church can be placed in the box marked "Cash for Toy Collection". Gift cards will be given to families in need and monetary gifts will be used to purchase gifts or gift cards.

¨ We will be collecting gifts thru December 20, but the earlier the better so that we can start distributing them to organizations early in December to meet their deadlines.

Mission and Outreach

Chili Bowl
Serving at Crossroads

Several times a year, FPCN participates in the Sunday Meal at Crossroads of MI. We will be helping to provide a meal for up to 350 guests.  Volunteer shifts are typically in the morning (8:15 – 11:00 am) or afternoon (10:30 am – 2 pm) to help prepare the meal and distribute it.

This effort is collaborative with other local churches in our Presbytery. Meet some other mission minded folks and help others in Detroit!

5 cents.png
5 Cents a Meal

For every meal you and your family members enjoyed in the last month, please donate 5 cents to help with food insecurity needs in our community.  The Mission Team uses these funds for various efforts throughout the year, including Gleaners, Crossroads, Northville Civic Concern, hospitality dinners for the homeless, and others!  Please fill a brown "grocery bag" envelope each month and drop it in the offering plate, or donate anytime on-line on our "Give and Serve" page.

You can help in this mission by picking up a kit in Boll Hall, completing it and returning the dress to the church.  The kit has all the supplies needed, full instructions and requires only basic sewing skills. Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit Christian organization whose mission is to provide relief by distributing dresses to little girls, primarily in African villages, but also to other countries in crisis.
